Today, Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on the VR headset line from Meta. With an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, a controller, and a Quest headset, you can stream hundreds of Xbox games with a beta version of the cloud gaming app for the Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro headsets.
You can get the beta app from the Meta Quest Store, and all you have to do to play is pair it with a compatible Bluetooth controller. You can use the Xbox, PS4, or even Nintendo Switch Pro controllers (if they support Bluetooth). According to Meta, support for PS5 controllers is "coming in the future."
Using full-color passthrough, the newest Quest 3 and Pro headsets offer an Xbox-themed virtual space, as well as a range of display sizes for an immersive VR experience where Xbox games can be streamed.
As part of a larger collaboration between Microsoft and Meta, the Xbox Cloud Gaming app on Meta headsets brings Windows, Office, and Microsoft Teams to virtual reality. With the launch of a Mesh-powered VR meeting experience that will be accessible on Meta's Quest headsets in January, Microsoft Teams is set to go three dimensions.
