The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Unveils AI Functionalities Alongside Superior Hardware

The forthcoming Galaxy S24 series, according to Samsung, will be the "smartest AI phones ever." The company has also highlighted artificial intelligence in their recently released Galaxy Book 4 laptop series.

The series has more processing power, quicker charging, better displays, and more AI capabilities than its predecessors.

Comparable Specifications

With the most recent Intel Core Ultra 9, the Galaxy Book 4 series combines a new NPU, GPU, and CPU into one unit. There's also an Nvidia RTX 4070 (8 GB) that comes with it, which can handle AI tasks like creating images with Stable Diffusion and playing games with traditional DLSS. As an alternative, customers can select a setup that includes an RTX 4050 (6 GB) and a Core Ultra 7.

With two fans that have uneven blade spacing and an 11% wider vapor chamber, the redesigned model offers improved cooling. Memory options range from 16 GB to 64 GB (LPDDR5X), and SSDs with an expansion slot are available in capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB.

The Book 4 series does away with the division between touchscreen and non-touch models, in contrast to the Book 3 series. Touch-capable Dynamic AMOLED displays with the new Vision Booster and anti-reflective technology are featured in all three models, improving legibility in bright outdoor environments.

Ultra Galaxy Book 4

The flagship model, the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, is available in a single 16-inch size. With a 48-120Hz variable refresh rate and an astounding 120% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, it features an impressive 2,880 x 1,800px display (16:10).

With its most recent laptops, Samsung is highlighting improvements in both power efficiency and quick charging. The device can charge the 76Wh battery to 55% with the 140W adapter in just 30 minutes, which is a 40% improvement over the previous model.

The laptops have quad speakers from AKG that support Dolby Atmos (2x 2W tweeters and 2x 5W woofers). Samsung refers to the dual microphone array's noise cancellation as "studio quality," thanks to the reintegration of AI technology.

An HDMI 2.1 port that allows for 8K at 60 frames per second and 5K at 120 frames per second is present in all three Book 4 laptops. The laptops have a USB Type-A port and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for those who use conventional peripherals.

The Galaxy Book 4 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro is available in 14" and 16" sizes, and weighs 1.23 kg and 1.56 kg, respectively. Similar to the Ultra variant, both models have 2,880 x 1,800px displays with a variable refresh rate of 48-120Hz and 120% DCI-P3.

This model can be configured with a 256GB-1TB SSD (with an expansion slot), an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 5 CPU with Intel Arc graphics, and 16 or 32GB of RAM. It's important to note that both the larger and smaller models support 65W USB-C charging and have batteries that are 63Wh and 76Wh, respectively.

The Samsung Gallery app for PC introduces the Photo Remaster feature, which integrates additional AI features and makes quick and easy touch-ups possible by removing unwanted reflections and shadows. You can edit videos with the Samsung Studio app on any of your Galaxy devices. Projects are automatically synchronized so you can work on your tablet and laptop at the same time.

360-degree Galaxy Book 4 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360, the last model in the lineup, weighs 1.66 kg and is only available in 16" form. While it shares the same display as its siblings, this model is unique in that it has 360-degree rotating hinges that allow it to be used as a tablet. It also comes with a S Pen.

There are still the same configuration options available: Intel Core Ultra 7 and Ultra 5, 16/32 GB RAM, and 512 GB/1 TB SSD (without an expansion slot). Connectivity choices are similar to those of the Pro model, with a 65W USB-C adapter for the 76Wh battery included. It should be noted that the Pro 360 does not have an expansion slot like the other models do.
