The European Space Agency (ESA) is indeed a multinational organization composed of 22 member states. The ESA is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the exploration of space. It was established in 1975 and has its headquarters in Paris, France.
The member states of the European Space Agency, as of my last update, are:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Czech Republic
- Denmark
- Estonia
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Hungary
- Ireland
- Italy
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Portugal
- Romania
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
Each member state contributes financially to the ESA and participates in its programs and activities. The ESA collaborates with other space agencies and organizations globally to advance scientific knowledge, develop space technologies, and conduct space missions. Keep in mind that developments may have occurred since my last update in January 2022, so it's a good idea to check for the latest information if needed.
