WhatsApp releases new features, including a connection health check and "view once" audio notes.

A number of notable features have been added to WhatsApp for iPhone users, such as the ability to 'view once' voice messages, check the health of the connection during video conversations, and pin messages.

Listen to audio messages once.

A further step toward privacy is taken with the 'View Once' option for audio messages. When this feature is turned on, the recipient's audio message cannot be shared, forwarded, copied, saved, or recorded. This guarantees that the shared content will always be unique and only be playable once.

Pinpointing messages

Message pinning, which is available in groups and chats, gives users the ability to determine how long a particular message is visible. With the option to select 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, users can customize their conversations. Crucially, users maintain the flexibility to unpin a message at any moment, providing them with dynamic control.

Connection health check

An additional useful feature is the addition of a connection health check during video conversations. Users can now get real-time feedback on the quality of their connection by long-pressing their tile during a video call, guaranteeing a more seamless and uninterrupted experience.

The first wave of these updates has started to roll out for iPhone users in India; in the upcoming weeks, a wider rollout is anticipated. To take advantage of these newest features and enhancements, users are advised to update their WhatsApp application from the App Store on a regular basis.
